FOOD: Delivery

Delivery seems pretty normally if you are thinking about pizza. However, now there is a new service where food from almost any restaurant can be delivered to your home from McDonalds to Chili's.

Food delivery is cropping up everywhere in major cities and university cities.

Uber Eats, Eat 24, Grub Hub, and Bit Squad are probably the most well known and are available across state lines. Not that they will deliver across state lines. Of course there are small delivery companies as well.

Now getting fast food and restaurant food without leaving your home is becoming so much easier. Delivery fees vary depending on the websites and the restaurant you are ordering from. Your access to restaurants can be limited to the distance from your home and the food place.

There is a special instruction box where you could make changes to your meal, just hope it isn't ignored. Description of the meal will be based on what the restaurant provided the website. So if you have questions about a dish you might end up having to call the restaurant to find out.

Payment is required at the moment of order, so don't except to pay cash or check when the food arrives.

A cool feature is that you could choose to pick up your food or have it delivered which is probably why you are ordering online. You can also pick the day and hour to have your food picked up or delivered. This is a great feature if you are planning to have people over or what to beat the lunch or dinner rush.

I am sure there are many people who think this will create many lazy people however there are some very good situations where this could be very useful.

Example, busy families, single parents, elderly, handicap, and more.

Sometimes rushing around the house, it is hard to get these done with little kids and the idea of putting them into a car to go grocery shopping or going to pick up food can be hassle. Home food delivery can be beneficial for those days that you just need a little extra help.

There are many people who have trouble traveling outside their homes for personal or physical reasons. By having home delivery for food, these people can have a a variety of food options at their finger tips without having to depends on family members, friends, or care providers.

Of course there are fun reasons too, a nice lazy day after a long hard week or a romantic evening at home.

So sit back, relax, order some food, and Bon Appétit.
